The Lebara Group was founded in 2001 by Rasiah R Leon, Baskaran Kandiah and Ratheesan Yoganathan. They shared a vision to shake up the international calling market.The trio were in Norway, en route to the airport when inspiration struck: Ratheesan noticed the imposing Telenor building and wondered why they couldn’t create a company of their own. On arrival at the airport, the partners borrowed a pen and some paper from the information desk and the concept of Lebara was born – the name coming from the first two letters of the partners names.   1. Despite purchasing a SIM card from Coles, the activation process was stymied when an error message declared the SIM to be ‘not available.’

  2. Extremely poor customer service. Waited more than one hour to get my call through but did not receive any helpful resolution for my problem.

  3. Pathetic service! Has been no service for three days. Everytime I called them, they asked the same questions and promised they would fix the issue quickly. However, nothing happened.

  4. I choose Lebara because I need to make many international calls. The international call quality is fantastic and the rates are really great value.

  5. Very bad network! Due to the terrible network I stucked on the road because my Map could not use. I will never use lebara again and have suggested all my friends stay away from Lebara.

  6. The connect quality is really really really terrible!!! My google map doesn’t work most of the time because of worse internet!!!

  7. I\'ve been with Lebara since 2012 and they\'ve been providing me with great service at an affordable price. But that\'s true, customer service is not top notch like other leading brands.

  8. The $99 for 180 days plan with 5G/30days plus unlimited phone calls in Australia and selected 12 countries is very attractive. I just ported in my mobile number to Lebara today. After being dealing with Lebara in this couple of days. I am very happy with their service. Lebara taff are very polite, helpful and the service is very quick.
