Technically, all carriers can port your mobile number, including prepaid services, as long as your number is active (including suspended numbers that are still active). However, the new carrier is not obligated to port your number, so it’s important to confirm with them first.

How to Change Mobile Providers

Before you sign up to a new provider, be sure to check if you are not lock in contract with current provider, othewise you need to termatinal it. Also you contact your new potetion provider to cinfirm you transfer your existing number to them

1. Find the Mobile Provider and Plan that Suits Your Needs

First, decide on a prepaid or postpaid plan that meets your needs. Whether you’re looking for unlimited data, unlimited talk and text, short-term or long-term options, unlimited international texting, or unlimited international calls, you can always find a plan that suits you here.

2. Port Your Mobile Number

When you sign up for or purchase the new plan, you will have the option to transfer your existing number to the new provider. Additionally, you will be asked to provide details such as the type of plan (prepaid or postpaid), your current provider, and either your date of birth or account number.

3. Verify Your Current Mobile Number

The new provider will send you a one-time code to confirm that you can still access your phone number. They will also coordinate with your previous mobile provider, using the information you provided, to request the transfer (port) of your mobile number.

4. Awaiting Port Completion

Typically, the porting process takes a few hours to complete. During this time, you can activate your new SIM card. Make sure to keep your old plan active until the porting is complete.
