Optus had raised 100 sites of its next-generation mobile networks with its target plan of 1,200 5G sites by March 2020. Its 5G coverage will be progressively expanding in limited areas of selected suburbs.
In spite of its infancy, Optus soft launches its first 5G mobile network with Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G. Although we awaited the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G to launch by Telstra, as they’re the first that launched its 5G and currently offers Samsung Galaxy S10 5G in their mobile network plans.
As Optus said “The latter is rather surprising. ” Maybe they’re right, we’re a bit surprised that both Optus and Telstra are offering the same handset for their 5G mobile network plans. Plan pages for Galaxy Note10+ 5G with some details of its 5G coverage are available in Optus.
Initially, Optus is offering its 5G mobile broadband plans on an invite-only basis with month to month and 24-month contract terms and comes in unlimited data. Optus plans will cost $70 comes in a minimum of 50mbps Satisfaction Guarantee on customers and claims that the customer who didn’t get at least 50mbps can cancel their contract and return the 5G home broadband modem without penalty.
While Telstra is offering the HTC 5G Hub mobile hotspot on its plans are intended to provide internet on the go and can connect up to 20 devices with 24-hour battery life. Optus and Telstra 5G coverage are both available in selected suburbs.
