Are you feeling slow with NBN? Since 2018, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has started to test Australian NBN speed and publish the report quarterly. The report includes 10 major providers across in Australia – Aussie Broadband, Dodo, Exetel, iiNet, iPrimus, MyRepublic, Optus, Superloop ,Telstra, Vodafone and TPG.

Based on the ACCC speed test result, we can see the average speed is from 89.3% ( Optus ) to 82.5% ( Dodo, iPrimus ) after excluding underperforming connections and it’s showing the most of fixed-line NBN customer is consistently get what they pay for the internet speeds. Clearly, the winner of the ACCC speed test result is Optus, but the report is based on the small amount of the volunteers and you may get vary from household to household.

NBN Plans: How does ACCC report help you

From the ACCC report, we can know what speed we can expect from those major internet providers. Now, what plans do they offer? We have a list of unlimited NBN plans from the internet providers which were listed by the ACCC report.

We have listed the providers which were sort by Download Speeds (busy hours) including underperforming connections. The plans were included with NBN50 ( Standard Plus ) or NBN100 ( Premium ) speeds which were suitable for most of the household.

The NBN50 plan is suitable for a family of up to four people the internet uses and NBN100 is best for a larger family of over four people.
