From 1 July 2005, Australian employees can choose which preferred super fund when their employer pays their super contributions. However, there are more than 500 superannuation funds and which super fund is the right one.

How to Choose a Super Fund ?

When you are looking for a super fund, you should consider fund performance, fees, insurance, services and find balance between each others.
  • Performance
    Search the fund’s investment performance and compare last three years, five years and ten years. When do the comparison, you need to compare like to like, for example balanced option to balanced option or growth option to growth option during the same time period.
  • Fees
    All super funds have an ongoing fee and will eat all your returns by a higher fee sometimes. Also, when switching investments, a dollar amount or a percentage will be charged again.
  • Insurance
