Leading Australian telecom firm, Telstra Group (TLS), announced a partnership with Elon Musk’s Starlink to deliver fixed broadband and voice services to residents in remote areas. The collaboration aims to offer Australian customers bundled home phone service and Starlink broadband connectivity. Telstra anticipates making these services available to individuals and businesses by late 2023.
Starlink has successfully expanded its coverage across the entire Australian territory, providing broadband services to remote areas. The plans are now available, with monthly pricing ranging from $139 to $374. Additionally, the hardware required for Starlink connectivity can be purchased at prices ranging from $924 to $3,740.
Starlink goes beyond providing internet services for fixed addresses; it also enables internet connectivity on vehicles, boats and even offers in-flight internet as of 2023.
